The Women’s Professional Billiard Association Regional Tour System is requesting proposals from prospective host locations who are interested in hosting the prestigious 2016 WPBA Regional Tour Championship (“RTC”).
The WPBA Regional Tour Championships were created in 2001 to offer a tournament where elite, regional tour players from each WPBA Regional Tour come together and compete for the prestigious title of WPBA Regional Tour Champion. The idea behind the Regional Tour Championships is to recognize the importance of the WPBA Regional Tour system and to reward excellence in female billiard competition. The WPBA Regional Tour System is the grass-roots program for the WPBA, providing up-and-coming female players with a competitive circuit to sharpen their skills and the opportunity to qualify for WPBA events. In order for a player to qualify to play in a WPBA event, players must “graduate” through the WPBA Regional Tour System.The WPBA, in conjunction with its Regional Tours Committee, will assemble its top (64) finishers from (13) WPBA Regional Tours across the U.S (location to be determined) to compete for thousands of dollars in prize money, and the coveted title of 2016 WPBA Regional Tour Champion. There will be a professional, live stream show for this event provided by Simonis Cloth and the WPBA Regional Tours.
WPBA Regional Tour players from across the United States who have participated in a WPBA Regional Tour, are a WPBA member in good standing, and finish in the top of their Regional Tour standings, are invited to participate in this championship event. The winner of this distinguished title will be invited to compete in the 2016 WPBA Masters which will be held at the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, MI. along with an invite to all WPBA events held during the calendar year.
The Host Room selected for the contract shall be responsible for meeting the requirements of the official RFP. Communication regarding this RFP with any WPBA Board of Directors, other than the WPBA Regional Tour RFP Project Coordinator, will be considered unofficial.
