Randy Tate, pool expert and pastor, has a goal to teach the youth in his Illinois area pool after school.
“We are finally launching Pool After School June 15th & 18th at Impact Church in Lake Villa IL. This sign is located on the church lawn.
“ Pool After School is a not for profit ministry combining the game of pool and the Christian faith. Our goal as a staff is to provide an atmosphere where kids can belong, can be loved and can believe. We meet weekly on Monday’s from 4 pm to 6pm for five weeks.”

“Each session our staff will teach up to 16 youth how to play pool, the rules of the games, equipment usage and a code of ethics in pool. A time of competitive play will be offered each session (i.e., team competition, tournaments). Trophies and titles will be given at the last week of all the sessions…
“Each week kids will enter an environment where mutual respect is mandatory, media (music and video) are positive and encouraging (i.e., no swears, no sex, no violence and no godlessness), and the room will be inviting, warm and fun…
“Each week our staff will love on each kid and help each kid to love one another.
“Each week I will give a brief, gospel-centered Bible devotion using pool balls and trick shots, share a testimony of a changed life, and pray.”
